Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity's goal is to eliminate substandard housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by working in partnership with God's people.
Using volunteer labor and tax deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and sells decent, affordable houses to people who currently live in substandard housing conditions.
History:
Founded in 1992, Siouxland Habitat for Humanity's goal is to build five to seven homes per year, providing shelter for God's people in need. Since 1992, Siouxland Habitat for Humanity has built 27 homes in the Siouxland area.
