Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence (CSA&DV)

The Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence is a private, non-profit agency that is dedicated to helping victims of sexual assault and domestic violence become empowered in their quest for dignity and self-respect.

The purpose of CSADV's program is to provide a central agency where victims can receive assistance, reassurance, support, and a sense of stability.

As a volunteer, you can be involved with stopping domestic violence and sexual assault in your community. Your efforts strengthen you community and help stop the cycle of violence. There are many ways that you can help. CSADV needs the efforts of volunteers to provide the best services possible to victims. By volunteering, you will be helping to save the lives of women and children in your community. Get Involved! Here's how...

How can I become a volunteer?
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and must be able to observe strict rules of confidentiality. Volunteers must not have been involved in a domestic violence or sexual assault incident or used agency services within the last year. You will receive an application to fill out, and a time will be set up to interview you. Volunteers who provide direct services to victims are required to become certified advocates by completing an initial 30-hour training program that is provided by CSADV. If interested call 712-277-0131 and ask for the volunteer coordinator.
