Police Looking For Walmart Robber


Le Mars Police Department were called to the Le Mars Walmart store early on Thursday morning for a robbery.

Police say that at approximately 1:45 a.m. a white male claiming to be armed with a knife approached an employee. The man allegedly forced the employee to open a store safe before he fled the store with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as between 5' 6" and 5' 8" with a medium build.  He was wearing a ball cap, black long sleeve t-shirt with red printing.

The suspect fled on Highway 75 south in a gray sedan, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix. 

No injuries were reported at the Walmart.
