(PRWEB) July 05, 2014

Tariq Drabu is a leading dentist and specialist oral surgeon in Manchester. He is one of the youngest dentists to ever graduate in the UK. Dr. Drabu spent years working in busy dental hospitals in the UK and Saudi Arabia before completing his Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Today, Dr. Drabu is the owner of the successful Langley Dental Practice and is also the Clinical Lead Dentist for the Oral Surgery Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services at NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale. He also finds time in his busy schedule to mentor and tutor post-graduate dentists in oral surgery at the UCLAN Dental Clinic in Preston.

Tariq Drabu was speaking about a recent article on a dental website. The article which was published on 27 June 2014 can be read here.

Tariq Drabu said, The University of Leeds has created a paste which contains peptides that can help prevent tooth decay. This is such exciting news for dental professionals and patients and may be a great solution to helping patients prevent tooth decay in the future. The paste is painted onto the teeth and attracts the calcium found in saliva. Over time this calcium builds up on the teeth forming a protective layer.

Tariq Drabu went on to say, I am very excited to hear about this new development and even more excited that the paste could be available as early as next year. The paste will be able to help repair tooth decay and reduce the risk of tooth decay. It is also believed that it will help prevent teeth acid attacks.

Tariq Drabu closed in saying, At Langley Dental Practice we are constantly educating our patients on oral care and how to prevent tooth decay. Through education and understanding patients are taking steps to improve their oral hygiene care. The great news about this new paste developed by a team at the University of Leeds is that it will help patients built up a protective layer around their teeth. This in conjunction with regular brushing, flossing and dental visits may be the solution needed to reduce the number of adults throughout the UK with tooth decay.
