New Trolley Service Arrives in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, IA - Sioux City has a new way to get around the downtown.
 

A new source of transportation arrived in Sioux City today after its long journey from Detroit, Michigan.

The trolley, which will operate on a route that  includes stops along Historic Fourth Street, Pearl Street, and at the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Local officials and members of the media got a chance to take one of the first rides today.
 
 
"It's really exciting. We've been waiting for this for about six months and we expect good ridership this year," said Ryan Ross of the Trolley Committee.
 

You can catch a glimpse of the new trolley during tonight's Big Parade in the downtown which begins at 6:15 tonight.

It is expected to be up and running full time next weekend.
