New report from the publications Paris-based correspondent reveals the best ways to experience the bewitching joys of glamorous Paris, only on a budget.

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) July 02, 2014

Paris thrives on its glamorous reputation, but discounts and deals are available here just as they are everywhere else, reports Barbara Diggs, InternationalLiving.coms France correspondent. With a little inside knowledge you can enjoy the best of Paris for far less money than youd think.

Diggs reveals the best places to eat and shop in the City of Light, as well as detailing cultural attractions from museums to the theater, all at a fraction of the price a tourist would expect to pay in a city like Paris.

French appreciation for the arts is legend. On any given day, there are dozens of theatrical productions and performances taking place around Paris, says Diggs. Full-price tickets for sought-after performances can easily cost upward of $100 each. But in this report, Diggs reveals a number of ways to get cut-rate tickets for classical-music concerts, rock concerts, operas, ballets, cabarets and plays, a few of which are even performed in English.

Diggs also reveals many free attractions in the city. And also gives insider tips on how museum-lovers can save money on buying a pass which allows unlimited access to 60 museums and monuments, including the Louvre, Musée dOrsay, Versailles, and the Arc de Triomphe.

When it comes to shopping, Diggs says: Its the dream of many to arrive in Paris wearing Gap and go home swathed in Chanel. Good thing there are bargains to be found, even when it comes to high-end finery.

Come to Paris in January and June for the sales, which last five weeks. During this time, youll find enormous discountssometimes as much as 70% offon everything imaginable, from house-ware items to bikes to shoes. Even major fashion houses like Dior, Chanel, and Hermès succumb to the frenzy of the soldes.

In the report, Diggs also gives advice on where to eat for less, including Michelin-starred restaurants. Paris has a few Michelin-starred restaurants, where you can enjoy an extravagant three-course lunch from $50 per person.
