Pilger School to be Demolished

Posted: Updated:
PILGER, NE - The Wisner-Pilger school district is scrambling to make plans for the upcoming school year.

After June 16th's storms heavily damaged the middle school building in Pilger, the school board had just two months to figure out what to do with those students.

Last night the board decided to demolish the current building and hold classes in three temporary classrooms that will be located next to the elementary school in Wisner.

The current middle school will be demolished next week and the board will hold discussions on a permanent replacement sometime in the near future.

The first day of school for Wisner–Pilger is August 14th.
