Driver And Vehicle Located In Hit And Run

SIOUX CITY, IA -

(UPDATE)  Video from the accident scene has allowed officers to determine the identity of the driver and vehicle involved. The drivers name has not been released. The investigation details will be given to Woodbury County Attorney's Office for their review in regards to possible traffic charges.

Sioux City police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck that hit a pedestrian last night in the Morningside area.
 
According to police, 46-year-old Thomas Venesky - who is legally blind - was walking home from Home Depot when a blue pickup hit him in the parking lot of the Sarg's Mini Mart on Glen Avenue.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene, and police are asking for the public's help to find out his identity.

Venesky was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint St. Luke's...
