BENTON HARBOR, Mich., April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohki Idoki, of Osaka, Japan, participated today in a golf shot from the roof of the new Inn at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Mich., to a target green more than 200 yards away. The event was part of media day activities for the upcoming 75th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, May 22-25 at Harbor Shores. The day also included a golf outing and a fireside chat with the Champion, hosted by Julius Mason, senior director of communications for The PGA of America. "Kohki is a fine champion and a great international ambassador for the game of golf," said Jeff Hintz, championship director of the 75th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. "It was a thrill for everyone involved to watch Kohki's enthusiasm for the rooftop shot and accuracy from 215 yards."

This was Idoki's first trip back to the U.S. following his victory at the 2013 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Mo. He will return to Harbor Shores this May to defend his Senior PGA Championship title.

The 2014 field includes golf legends such as Tom Watson, Colin Montgomerie, Fred Couples, Kenny Perry and Roger Chapman, the 2012 Senior PGA Champion. This will be the second time Harbor Shores hosts the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. The Championship will return to Harbor Shores again in 2016 and 2018.

Tickets to the 75th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid may be purchased online at SPGA2014.com or by calling the Championship office at 269-487-3200.
