Sioux City Man Accused of Multiple Robberies

A Sioux City man is accused of two north-side robberies in the last few weeks.

Police say Vasean Markworth attacked a woman who was locking up a business on Pierce Street early Wednesday morning.

According to investigators, he demanded her cash and debit card,  forced her into her car, and made her drive to a bank on Hamilton Boulevard. That's when the victim jumped out of the car and ran for help.

Markworth took off on foot. Police found him in the same area Thursday morning.

He's also accused of a March 30th robbery, where he allegedly took money from two 15 year olds.
