Siouxland Opts Out of Bars and Stay In for Super Bowl Watc

SIOUX CITY, IA -

People throughout Siouxland tuned in to watch the showdown between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks Sunday night.

But not many could be found at your local bars or restaurants.

Owners we spoke with say while it's usually one of their busier nights, not many people came in to watch the big game this year.

Instead, fans hosted their own watch parties, which included ordering in and firing up the grill.

"She decided to have something at the house and we decided to invite friends over and relax at home and enjoy the game," said host Daniel Adams. "It's just more comfortable, you know. Less driving, you can do what you need to do, you know. I like to cook and I've been on the grill since 11:15 this morning. "

Guests we spoke with at Adams home said they opted for a watch party at home to better enjoy the game and the company without any distractions.

If you have a story you want to tell or an  incident you think needs to be investigated, our reporter Beairshelle Edmé wants to hear about it.
