Rodeo Comes to Tyson Events Center

SIOUX CITY, IA -

Siouxlanders get the rare chance to see some professional bull riding this weekend.

The Rawhide Bullriding Challenge is taking the stage to show off some of the toughest cowboys across America. There will also be mutton busting, featuring some up and coming rodeo stars.

Plus there will be a petting zoo for the kids.

"I love coming here for one thing... But I've been at the Days of '56 in Ponca, a rodeo in Cherokee, and of course here. And I've spent a lot of time in this area and I love this area. Great fans. I enjoy what I do and I love coming back here," said announcer Travis Schauda.

Not only is there intense action from top riders, but there's also top notch entertainment. The rodeo features a trick horse-rider and wrangler who's performed around the world, and on the silver screen.

"When I was small and saw those other people doing it... I saw how the people reacted to what they were doing out in the arena. I thought boy that's neat those people really like what they're doing...I guess I thought I wanted to have some of the attention too. And yeah, that's a major part of it is when the crowd gets into it... you know you're doing your job and it just makes it that much more fun," said specialty acts performer Max Reynolds.

There will be another show Saturday night at 7:30 at the Tyson Events Center.
