RV Takes Mobile Marketplace to Siouxland; Helps Applicants with Healthcare.gov

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, IA -
Monday, December 23rd is the early enrollment deadline for healthcare.gov applicants and one group is making sure Sioux Citians are ready.

Blue Cross Blue Shield and CoOportunity Health have sponsored two mobile marketplaces that provide personalized assistance to get enrolled into the federal marketplace.

The RVs, powered by OCI Insurance, have made more than 60 stops throughout Western Iowa and Nebraska, where organizers and agents have been explaining the policies of the Affordable Care Act.

"There's definitely a need and people do want a place that they can go. The website's great but they want somebody they can look at and talk to and help them answer the questions, and that's what we do," said Chuck Olson, president of OCI Insurance.

The RV will be in South Sioux City this Friday, December 20th at St. Michael's from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
