Stolen Van Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident on Hamilton Blvd.

SIOUX CITY, IA -

A driver went on a rampage down busy Hamilton Boulevard about 8:30 this morning.

Police say a van from Opportunities Unlimited struck a vehicle at Hamilton and Outer Drive, then sped south on Hamilton.

It collided with three more vehicles not far from the northside McDonalds.

That's where the van ended up crashing into some trees.

The driver, Joel Herzberg of Sioux City, and another driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Herzberg has been cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license.

The county attorney is also considering charges of operating a vehicle without consent.

Officials with Opportunities Unlimited, which works with people who have suffered brain and spinal cord injuries, won't say if Herzberg was a patient or an employee of the organization.
