SIOUX CITY, IA -

Get ready for a weekend trip back to the Renaissance.

Preparations for the 10th Annual Kingdom of Riverssance Fair are underway in Sioux City.

Riverside Park will be transformed to an historic era and feature many 14th and 15th century traditions, and rain or shine the show will go on.

"You got to remember gang, this is a Renaissance festival and back then--I mean, life was life so when you come out here you will see when we say we're doing a Renaissance festival well the weather is a apart of a Renaissance festival and we're all going to be out here," said Rivercade Event Coordinator & Commodore Phil Claeys.

The fair will feature traditional foods and seven stages for performances by various artists, including Rogue, the award-winning Celtic band.

The fair runs Saturday from 10a.m. to 7p.m and Sunday at 10a.m. to 6p.m.
