Dow City Man Pleads Guilty In Bar Fight Death Case

DENISON, IA -

A Dow City man accused of murder after a March bar fight has pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
 
27 year old Benton Wingrove was charged with first degree murder in the death of 29 year old Adam Lary.

At his pre-trial hearing in Crawford County District Court in Denison Friday, Wingrove pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, reckless use of a firearm, and intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Wingrove will be sentenced September 27.
