Thurston Co. Escapee Captured in Norfolk

NORFOLK, NE -

Folks in Northeast Nebraska can rest easier tonight.  A dangerous escapee has been captured.

Mark Kuehn was arrested in Norfolk late this afternoon after a day- and-a-half on the run.

Norfolk Police tell Siouxland News the department received a number of calls about a man who was spotted sitting on the outside stairwell of an apartment building.

Kuehn wasn't armed.

He escaped from the Thurston County Jail yesterday morning after slipping through metals bars around an air conditioning unit.

He's now been taken to a correctional facility in Lincoln.
