Posted:
BLAIR, NE -

(BLAIR, NE) More than 2,500 people in Washington County, Nebraska are without power after high winds and strong storms blew threw the town.

After the rain and wind subsided, people in Blair surveyed what type of damage they were left with - some residents had it a worse than others.

"My neighbor John's house got hit on the corner at the end of the block, there's a car that is totally incased in trees you can't even see the car anymore," said Wade Daggett, a resident of Blair, Nebraska.

In the end, the town was left with thousands of dollars in damage and hundreds of trees on the ground.

(FREMONT, NE) This was the scene earlier today in Fremont, Nebraska, where they were hit with two separate waves of rain in about an hour. The rain left many of the city streets flooded and closed until the water could drain.

At the height of the storm, wind gusts were clocked around 70 miles per hour. Almost three-thousand customers in the area lost power because of the storm.

No injuries were reported.
