Hearts' Home Acoustics Guitar Shop in Boerne is Sponsoring a Benefit Concert for Dian and Mark Piper.

Hearts' Home Acoustics guitar shop in Boerne is sponsoring a benefit concert for Dian and Mark Piper on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. The concert will be held on the store grounds and will feature musicians from San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country, including performances by the Tennessee Valley Authority bluegrass band, the Exit 505 band out of New Braunfels, and local acoustic guitar ace Keith Kimbell. A suggested donation of $20 can be dropped off at the door.

Mark Piper is a featured luthier at Hearts' Home Acoustics. He is well known as a top-notch guitar builder in Nashville, having worked on projects for numerous country, blues and jazz music legends. Check his work out at http://www.redentoreguitars.com.

Mark and Dian moved to Texas a few years back to be closer to her family. Dian was diagnosed with late-stage cancer soon after the move but her medical coverage through her new job was declined because her illness was considered a pre-existing condition. Needless to say, they are facing some staggering medical expenses.

That's the bad news. The good news is that Dian is responding well to her treatments. Whereas her doctors were only hoping to arrest the spread of cancer, they have been delighted to see the cancer recede. The Piper's consider this an answer to prayer.

The folks at Hearts' Home Acoustics have been involved in those prayers, but they want to follow through with a little bit more. So HHA is planning an afternoon full of great music, food and refreshments in order to celebrate and bless the lives of a very special couple. A Silent Auction will include signed original artwork and memorabilia from Christian recording artist Phil Keaggy.
