Make A Wish Celebrates The Oscars

(SIOUX CITY, IA) - Sioux City turned out to celebrate Hollywood and support a great cause Sunday night.

The Make-A-Wish foundation hosted their 5th annual "Wish Upon a Star" Oscar Party.
Guests strolled down the red carpet, bid on Oscar-themed silent auction packages, and there were even a few celebrity impersonators for the costume contest.

Organizers raised about $7,500 to go toward making a wish come true for a child right here in Siouxland.

"Whatever we can do to get wishes going, and a lot of kids, unfortunately, that need wishes, and to put an event like this on that will cover a wish, just gives you a good feeling, and everybody here should feel proud and happy about what they're doing," said Curt Stoever with Make A Wish.

And our own Olivia Wilmsen was there to guest M.C., and got in the Oscar spirit with a great dress by 6 South Designs and hair by Studio 11.
