Winterfest Celebrates Camp Goodwill

Posted:
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE -

Camp Goodwill's holding the first ever "Winter Fest" February 2nd.

From fireworks to a dance, a silent auction and some great food, there'll be something for everyone.

It's a way for folks to check out what the camp's all about, and learn how it's touched the lives of thousands of children since 1927.

"A lot of kids, you know, they struggle in life and this is an opportunity for them to come out here in a camp, they might not normally go to a camp," said Goodwill Industries President John Hantla. "We try to positively impact them through role modeling and opportunities for them to learn and get along and share things together, so it's a great camp that way."

Winterfest 2013 will cost $25 per person. Festivities kick off starting at 11 AM.
