Posted:

(SIOUX CITY, IA) In light of the tragic mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, on Friday, December 14, 2012, Siouxland News sat down with Julie Elbert, a Siouxland Mental Health therapist who works with kids in Sioux City schools. She discussed how parents should talk to their kids about a tragedy like this, what kids may be thinking that they won't ask Mom and Dad, and how to help kids cope with the fear of going to places like a movie theater, temple, mall or school after a tragedy like this happens.
