(SIOUX CITY, IA) Police and family have confirmed 24-year-old Jasmine Kleve has been found dead. Jasmine's family told Siouxland News late Wednesday afternoon they'd just received the terrible news. Police later confirmed they found Jasmine's body near Lakeport Commons around 2:00 PM Wednesday afternoon.
Already kind words from friends have been pouring into her Facebook page, a lot of "I love you's", friends saying goodbye, her parents even thanking folks for the kind words. Jasmine's family says she was last seen near Kohl's in Sioux City a week ago on December 5, 2012. Her phone even turned up outside of the Hobby Lobby. Her family turned to Facebook, hoping to find any leads at all about her disappearance. On Tuesday, police put out a missing person's report for Jasmine, saying no foul play was suspected but her welfare was in question.
Police say they are not investigating her death as a homicide but there will be an autopsy to find out why Jasmine died. Now we'll continue following this developing story and bring you more details as they become available.
