(SIOUX CITY, IA) For babies born on December 12, 2012, it'll certainly a birthday to remember.
Not only is it unique to have been born on the 12th day in the 12 month of the year, 2012,
It's the last time an event like this will take place in this century.
"12/12/12, just one of the dozen," says Michelle Burton, the happy mother if Anna Burton, who was born 12/12/2012.
The sound of a baby crying is nothing new for these two Sioux City mothers. Michelle Burton has 2 other children, and Katrina Nettleton has 5.
"She is my finale," says Burton.
Both baby girls were born in the 10 o'clock hour. One was planned...
"I was born on 8/08 of '78, my daughter Kayla who's 5 and a half was born on 3/07 of '07, my son Kenneth was born on 9/09 of '09 and then Anna was born on 12/12 of '12," says Burton.
...the other by chance.
"The date was an accident, my water broke at home last night and we came in, and she was a little stubborn last night, coming, but she came this morning, bright and early for us, so I'm very blessed," says Katrina Nettleton, proud mom of Mia-Bella Rian Nettleton.
The Nettletons like to think of themselves as a modern day "Brady Bunch"
"My wife had one, I had one, and now we have 4 together, so 6 total," says Rich Nettleton.
Mia-Bella Rian Nettleton, whose name is being revealed for the first time to friends and family in this story, is their first girl and Katrina says, most definitely, their last.
"This is it, we got our girl, we are good to go," she says.
Whether it was planned, or by accident, this day will surely be a conversation starter for years to come.
Mia-Bella was born at Mercy and Anna was born at St. Luke's. And get this, the next time our calendars align, on 01/01/2101, both girls will be 88 years old.
