Chris Hall Wins Iowa's House District 13

(SIOUX CITY, IA) - Candidate for Iowa's House District 13, Chris Hall, walked away with the win Tuesday night with 53 percent of the vote.

Siouxland News caught up with him at the Democratic Watch Party in Downtown Sioux City to get his reaction Tuesday night.

He said running against his opponent, Jeremy Taylor, was difficult to do considering both candidates were first term incumbents forced to face off after already serving the people of Woodbury County.

"It was unfortunate that two good people, who have good intentions had to get thrown in together. It's the unfortunate circumstance of every 10 years and I respect my opponent and I think he ran a good campaign. And I'm just glad that things have worked out the way they did because I know that between the hours and months and effort that you put into it, its something that has meaning behind it and it really is a vote of confidence from the voters," said Hall.

A few hours before the polls closed Jeremy Taylor told us if he did lose, he was just thankful for the run.

"I think he ran a very, very hard campaign, and I wish him the absolute best. If I don't make it in I've got a great family, I know the good Lord is always watching over us and whether it's the will of the people tonight to send me back or not, I have been very honored to represent this community, and I'm happy to have done so," said Taylor.
