(SIOUX CITY, IA) - A Siouxland company takes on a major project. ACES, Aviation Consultant Expert Solutions, is located at the Sioux Gateway Airport.
Last week, the airplane maintenance company started work on a used turbo-prop airplane for a company in the Virgin Islands. The 10 week process includes stripping out everything from the carpets and overhead bins to flaps, and giving the engines a close inspection.
Owners said it's great to see a used airplane get a fresh start.
"To see one stay in operation, and be out there put to work in a good operation, have a good home and be operated well, it's fantastic," said Travis Stein, the CEO for ACES.
The company also said it's looking to hire mechanics. ACES has been operating in Sioux City since December.
