Long Lines For President Obama Tickets

(SIOUX CITY, IA) - With the President's visit to Sioux City scheduled for Saturday, his campaign offices in town were packed Thursday morning.

Doors opened at 8 a.m. to pick–up tickets based on a first come, first served basis. A long line wrapped around the corner on Morningside Avenue.

One couple said they camped out since midnight and then hopped in line at 6 a.m. guaranteeing them tickets to see the Commander in Chief.

"If he's this close, you can't pass this opportunity up. And I think he's a great President. And he deserves four more years," said Tammy Brown.

"I'm from Nebraska. So I don't really, I guess I'm conservative, but as far as being the President of the United States, it's not everyday you get a chance to see him," said Aaron Brown.

On the other side of town on 14th St., the line was just as long. One man said he's hoping to get the other side of the coin after watching the Republican National Convention.

"I needed an anecdote from what I had to watch last night on TV cause so many things that were wrong and I was hoping that hey, I'll talk to somebody here who at least not to say anything that isn't so," said Dewie Gaul.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hilker Campus Mall on Morningside's Campus.
