(SIOUX CITY, IA) - Technology is taking over paper. Woodbury County spent $4,400 to give the Board of Supervisors iPads.
All five board members each have their own iPad and one is for three board administration employees to share. The tablets allow them to review documents that the county had printed out and delivered before meetings.
For longtime board member, Larry Clausen, using an iPad is going to be a big adjustment.
"Just learning all the little icons on the iPad and you know how to bring things up, but it's nothing a person can't learn. You just have to put your mind to it and take a couple weeks to get it down pat," said Supervisor, Larry Clausen.
The county was able to buy iPads with last year's left over budget.
