SIOUX CITY, IA -
A long time Sioux City company's set to breathe new life into an old building.
The Consumer Supply Distributing Company is in the process of buying the old Postal Processing Center just off Harbor Drive, it closed back on September 30th, 2011.
Consumer Supply is just across the street, it hopes to expand and move its distribution center.
While this expansion will only create a few new jobs at first, city officials hope there are more to come once the expansion is finished.
"That will free up a lot of space in the current facility where they do manufacturing as well as distribution," said Sioux City Economic Development Director Marty Dougherty. "And they're working with their new partner CHS on some plans to expand their manufacturing facility in their current building."
On Monday June 25th the City Council will decide whether or not to give Consumer Supply a 10 year partial tax rebate.
