SIOUX CITY, IA -
Some Sioux City drivers got a little relief at the gas pump today.
The Kum & Go on South Lakeport had E-85 for 85 cents per gallon today, thanks to a partnership with the Renewable Fuels Association and the Iowa Corn Growers Association.
The group is traveling the state this summer, hoping to get drivers with flex-fuel vehicles to try out the ethanol blend, and customers agree.
"I don't use it all the time, because it's not real easy to find a lot, and when I do find a good deal, I like a good sale," said Sioux City resident Brenda Woodbury.
"It's American made, so it helps the economy, and I've heard that it's supposedly supposed to perform just like the regular fuels do, and this is a flex fuel vehicle, so I'm going to give it a shot and see, go from there," said Randy Olsen of Sioux City.
"Better for the environment is certainly another factor that factors into it, and it's easier on the pocketbook, so works out good for all," said Sioux City driver Jaime Dobbs.
Today's amazing deal only lasted from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
