SIOUX CITY, IA -
Terry Lockie, a local accountant with an office in Downtown Sioux City, is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.
Lockie was arrested earlier this month after a complaint was filed saying she had stolen over $150,000 from an elderly woman.
Lockie had Power of Attorney over Roberta Mitchell, a woman in her seventies suffering from dementia, who had no experience handling her own money.
According to court documents, Lockie withdrew money from Mitchell's bank accounts between February 2008 and February 2010 and deposited the money into her own account at a different bank.
She is charged with Theft in the First Degree, and Dependent Adult Abuse. A trial is set to begin October 2nd.
When we went to Lockie's business, Terry Lockie and Associates, other employees said they had no comment. Her attorney, Keith Rigg and the District Attorney also declined to comment at this time.
