The beautiful weather on Memorial Day wasn't only good for barbecuing in the park or spending time outdoors with family, turns out it was perfect weather for hitting the pool, as well.
Hundreds of people went for a swim at the pool on Riverside Boulevard in Sioux City Monday.
It was open until 7 PM for the holiday.
Some of the kids who were there in the afternoon say taking a dive or going down the slide isn't the only reason to be pool-side.
"Just hanging out with friends, trying to get a tan, even though I'm a red head," said one Sioux City boy.
"Well, you've got to look good for the girls you know," said another boy from Sioux City.
The Riverside pool will be open the next few weekends. It'll open up for the summer starting June 11th.
