ATV Crash Sends Sioux City Man To Hospital

SIOUX CITY, IA -

Keep your ATV off city streets.  That's the message from police after a weekend crash lands one man in the hospital.

Sioux City Police responded to a call late Sunday morning at West 31st and Blair Streets in Sioux City.

An investigation showed the ATV rider missed the turn onto Blair and was thrown from the ATV, hitting a nearby utility pole.

The rider was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries.  Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and the rider was not wearing a helmet.

As a reminder, riding an ATV within Sioux City city limits is illegal.
