Groupware is the title sponsor of the South Bay GREAT STRIDES fundraiser and Team Groupware will walk in the GREAT STRIDES 5K at Hellyer Park in San Jose on Saturday May 5th at 9:00 am. Ninety cents of every dollar raised will go towards vital programs to support CF research, care and education. GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fundraising event, with walks in over 600 cities each year. Cystic fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs, digestive system, and other organs of 70,000 children and young adults around the world. In 1955, children with CF didn’t live to see kindergarten. Funds raised through the Cystic Fibrosis foundation help people with the disease live well into their thirties.

Groupware Technology has been a supporter of Cystic Fibrosis research for many years and its President and CEO Mike Thompson sits on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “We are a committed supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis foundation, which has helped fuel dramatic advances in treatment and care having a positive impact on the quality of life of the individuals with the disease” said Mike Thompson.
