SIOUX CITY, IA -
Cookie's is the one for Camp High Hopes. The camp is partnering with Cookie's Barbeque and selling fully cooked pork ribs at the Hy–Vee on Gordon Drive, with proceeds going to the new facility.
Last year, the same event raised more than $5,000, and this year, camp officials hope to raise even more.
"Some people can't write a thousand dollar check, but they can write a $15 check and take home a rack of ribs to enjoy, so what a better way to help out a non–profit and feed your stomach at the same time," said Camp High Hopes Executive Director Ali Langseth.
If you want to pick up a rack of ribs, you can stop by Hy–Vee tonight (Friday) until 7 P.M. or tomorrow from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Construction of the multi–million dollar project is on track, and the first group of campers is set to arrive this September.
