Sioux City Gets New Mini-Golf Course

SIOUX CITY, IA -

(SIOUX CITY, IA) Even though it may be wet this weekend, you can still hit the links.

A 7 hole indoor miniature golf course is part of a new exhibit inside the Sioux City Art Center.

Seven local architecture firms were invited to create different mini–golf holes that were both playable and visually interesting.

Museum officials say from tee to green the tour will show guests some innovative views of Sioux City's historic and contemporary structures.

"When I approached the architects, they were all very enthusiastic, they all jumped on it, so it's something that other museums have done, but I don't know if they've ever worked with architects, usually with artists, and we think the architects did a great job," said Art Center Director Al Harris-Fernandez.

The event opens this Saturday and the Art Center will host a free reception on Sunday from 5–7 PM.

The exhibition will remain on display through July 1st.
