UPDATE: Sioux City Police Arrest Two In Parking Meter Vandalism

SIOUX CITY, IA -

Police arrested 22 year old Daniel Richard of Sioux City, and 23 year old Steven Christoffers also of Sioux City, charging both with 1st degree Criminal Mischief in connection with the string of stolen and damaged parking meters in Downtown Sioux City.

Christoffers is also charged with Eluding and Failure to Obey a Police Officer, both simple misdemeanors.

Earlier this month, Sioux City had 26 parking meters either damaged or stolen downtown.

Police estimate the damaged to be over $10,000.

Officers arrested both suspects earlier today and say Christoffers attempted to flee from police at the time.
