Jordan joined KMEG in September 2010 as a sports/news reporter, then worked as anchor of Siouxland News at 5, 9 & 10 before taking over as Sports Director in November 2012. He comes to Siouxland from Miami University (in Ohio!) where he graduated in May 2010 with a degree in Mass Communication. Go RedHawks!
During his time at Miami, Jordan wrote for the award winning student newspaper, The Miami Student. He covered various sports and penned his own sports column, "Sports Blurbs with Furbs." He also was the sports anchor of the student produced news show RedHawk Report. Jordan interned with the sports department at WBNS in Columbus, Ohio and also did work with ESPN as their campus reporter during basketball seasons.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jordan is a diehard Ohio State fan. One of his favorite Buckeye memories was a trip to Ann Arbor with his dad to watch the Buckeyes beat Michigan in 2005. When it comes to sports and Jordan, you name it, he played it; basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, track & field, soccer, and golf, which he won a state championship as a junior in high school.
Jordan credits his internship at WBNS as the defining moment when he knew sports broadcasting was his future. "I like being able to capture the human side of sports and showing the audience what goes into the making of a champion or great achievement."
