**THIS FUGITIVE HAS BEEN CAPTURED**
The U.S. Marshals Service is seeking the public's assistance in locating Curtis Kearnes. In September of 2005, Kearnes was sentenced in District of Nebraska Federal Court of committing aggravated assault with a weapon and burglary by forced entry into a residence. Kearnes received 77 months in prison and was recently released to a half-way house in Hastings, Nebraska. On October 16, 2010, Kearnes walked away from the half-way house after allegedly assaulting a fellow resident. Kearnes then traveled to Sioux City and visited family. Kearnes has violent criminal history that includes an assault on a law enforcement officer. Kearnes is a 31 year old Native American man, 5'11" tall and 180 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair with two small pony tails in the back. Kearnes has numerous tattoos including a feather on his left cheek, tear drops below his right eye and a name on his forehead. Kearnes has family in Sioux City and in Winnebago, Nebraska.
