One issue on the November ballot aims to protect Iowa's land and water assets. A state-wide tour supporting the Iowa Water and Land Legacy kicked off in Sioux City Wednesday.
The constitutional amendment creates a dedicated trust fund for the purposes of protecting and enhancing water quality and nature areas.
There is at least one body of water in each of Iowa's 99 counties that is listed as impaired.
